Utilita's violations of Ofgem Licence Condition 12 under the Electricity Act 1989

Regarding the £1000 electricity theft detected at 28 Gordon Rd between Aug 2019 and Feb 2020, and the repeated failure by Utilita's Revenue Protection Team and Complaints Team Leader to comply with Ofgem Licence Condition 12 to investigate this theft.

The following is a long list of Utilita's violations of Licence Condition 12, set by the independent regulator Ofgem to investigate, compensate for, and prevent all forms of energy theft.

Detection and prevention of electricity theft
Violating 12.1 (a) (b) - by refusing to take reasonable steps to detect and prevent electricity theft, including damage to electric lines to tap into mains wires and steal electricity
Condition 12.A. Matters relating to Theft of Electricity
Violating 12.1 (a) - by failing to detect theft of electricity, investigate suspected theft, prevent further theft once detected, and prevent theft by other means
Violating 12.A.1 (b) (i) - by acting in a manner which is grossly unfair, unclear, deceptive and unprofessional

Violating 12.A.11 (a) (ii) - by failing to recognise the true extent, protracted nature and size of the theft
Violating 12.A.11 (b) - by issuing unreasonable payment demands to intimidate my tenant, Robert Lindsell, into submission and force him, the victim, to pay the costs of the electricity theft

PLEASE NOTE: The 25 serious Licence Condition breaches made by Utilita identified above now represent one of the most shocking examples of aiding and abetting electricity theft by an energy supplier targeting one of their customers seen in UK history
